A Transition In The Leadership At The Belle Center

Buffalo, New York – August 9, 2012 – The beginning and ending of a great journey will be marked on August 24th, 2012 for Nestor Hernandez, the Executive Director of The Belle Center. His exceptional leadership capabilities have provided him the opportunity to make a transition to a position at People Inc.

“My six years as Executive Director of The Belle Center will be an experience that I will cherish for many years to come,” said Nestor Hernandez. “The triumphs, the tragedies, the laughs, the cries- all these experiences have helped me to grow and strengthen my leadership abilities. I’m proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish during my time at The Belle Center. The lives that have been positively transformed, the success stories of people who with our help worked their way to becoming self-sufficient, the hundreds of students who have and will cross the stage at their college graduation are a constant source of inspiration to me. Even though I look forward to all the new and exciting challenges that await me in my new position at People Inc., I will be eternally grateful to my family, the Board, staff and community members for all their support.”

The Belle Center organization is losing a great leader in Nestor Hernandez. He became Executive Director in August 2006, as he assumed leadership of an organization with over two decades of service to the community. During his six years at The Belle Center he brought a substantial amount of growth to the agency as revenues increased from $544,000, in 2006 to the currently over 2.3 million annual operating budget.
