A Celebration of Diversity: International Day at The Belle Center
Buffalo, New York – February 16, 2011 –Everyday that The Belle Center opens its doors it is graced with the diverse and rich cultures of people from as distant as Burma, Sudan and Puerto Rico, among other abroad and national places of origin.
The Belle Center is uniting in celebration of the many diverse cultures that fill the corridors and classrooms of the Center on a daily basis. At 12:00 p.m. Rita Hubbard Robinson, JD - Director of Community Health Education and Outreach for Erie County Medical Center will present on “Diversity and Inclusion.” International Day will take place at 11:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. March 2, 2011 at The Belle Center 104 Maryland St. Buffalo, NY 14201. During the event there will also be various entertainment performances.
The theme of “Diversity and Inclusion” will carry over into our Buffalo AmeriCorps 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. March 4, 2011 Meaning of Service meeting where Dr. Jack Norton and 31 Buffalo AmeriCorps members will delve into a powerful literary work: Naomi Shihab Nye, Gate A-4.
